ESTABLISHMENT OF TATC
The TATC is a result of a noble idea conceived during the 1970s, by the first President of the United Republic of Tanzania, the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere,
The Idea was to create a Centre of Excellency in Tanzania to advance technology innovations, with the ultimate aim of attaining self-reliance in technology for strategic socio-economic development.
The creation of TATC was facilitated through appropriate international technology transfer arrangements from Timoney Technology Group (TTG) of the Republic of Ireland.
Automotive and industrial design and production technologies were attained through professional industrial training of a critical mass of engineers, technicians and artisans,
A number of capital projects were developed in the Automotive sector.
